Having traveled to the beautiful Azores at the end of the Atlantic crossing season (West To East) we decided to stay here through the winter.
Their winters are not so much cold as they are rainy, and the rain then never dries until the spring. Long before then, our home has become plagued with mold! We have taken the liberty of exterminating the mold that has tried to live amongst us. Maddie soaked the every surface we found mold to be living on in white vinegar and let it sit for 1 hour. Then she scrubbed it clean and wiped away any trace remnants of our unwanted boat-mate. Does vinegar kill mold? We don’t know for sure, but enough websites said it would, so why not give the boat a great cleaning anyways!
