​Adventures on Boats

The name says it all. -- We are all about adventures that include boats. Little boats, big boats, paddle boats, sail boats (motor boats too) and of course all the stuff that goes with adventures on boats and having fun traveling across the lake and around the world. The idea behind this site is to make it easier for "New Adventurers" to get started. There are only two photos (except in the Fun section) making this site friendly to boaters with slow internet and limited band width, a few words and tons of curated links with more to be continually added. Our aim is to be a reference site to educate and connect new dreamers with the information, resources and most importantly those sailors that have gone before them and are living their own dreams of Adventures on Boats. That said, there are tons of links to blogs and video bloggers under "Adventures in Progress".

Please Note: It is not the purpose of this site to be exhaustive on a particular subject, but rather to provide a reasonable number of curated links and connections to get you started and connect you with others, so you can start your own adventuring.  
All Adventures start with a dream​. This section attempts to open the door to help those of you who are just starting to dream about sailing away. These topics are the primary ones you will probably spend the most time researching (other than finding your boat). These curated links hopefully will put you on the "fast track" to making your dream of adventuring into your reality.

Now that you have your boat. This section is to give you a sense of what you face when you actually do get your boat. You will typically have a lot of "projects" to accomplish in order to get her sea worthy. So this section focuses on resources to get you launched and out adventuring as quickly as possible. But don't "rush it", remember you want to come back so you can tell your tales.

Their blogs and videos are linked here to help you to learn from them and go along on their adventures, but most importantly for you to connect with them both now and when you sail into some remote harbor.
